Magellan Budget and Inventory
Magellan Budget & Inventory is designed to help schools monitor their budget and manage their stock. Magellan Budget and Inventory works with the same Magellan database as the basic module.
The budget is monitored using accounts and budget lines for each budgeting year. Account funds are allocated to budget lines either automatically based on a percentage key or manually. Expenditure is recorded using account entries. The current budget is placed opposite the total expenditure so you can monitor budget lines and accounts. Remainders can be carried over to the following budgeting year.
Acquisitions are registered as inventory. Books from the Magellan Library represent a special case when recorded as inventory. Relevant suppliers for certain expenses can be earmarked and these can be selected from a central supplier list.
